Attorney Doug Chalgian and his staff represented our defense case for my mother’s trust vs. my siblings. It’s very true death brings out the worst in a family. Doug knows and is compassionate about Elder Law. I wouldn’t want to be across the table from Attorney Chalgian. Would highly recommend Chalgian and Tripp-very professional and knowledgeable.

At age 70, I have met a few people who I will be grateful for forever. Attorney Doug Chalgian is one. He was immediately responsive, kind, strong, knowledgeable and successful handling my contentious, out-of-state dispute with my sister over our mother. Yes, sister kidnapped mom and initiated "emergency" action to take over her decisions and money. So sad. I lost my relationship with my only sibling, but not the right to care for mom, as she had stipulated in her will. Thank you, Doug!

Doug was able to advise us on our problem and recommended that we take no immediate action which ended up being the proper advice.

He is good at billing. He reviews your file every 3-4 days for $$$$. But he doesn’t retain information on your case. He asked me how many sibling I had 12 times. Would I say he cares about his clients….NO. He cares about money. His payroll is over $65,000 a month, he told me that a few times. And when he called another local attorney for advice he charged me $400. Not impressed.

To summarize, the Chalgian law firm did not provide the representation that I would expect from a firm that represent themselves as leaders in the area of probate law. I received incorrect legal advice, they did a poor job in preparing for an appeal, Atty Chalgian dumped the case on a junior attorney, and then they Quit! Atty. Chalgian's representation cost me six figures, and then I was his with over $50K in costs from the Michigan probate court.

They require a deposit of $300 that they don’t say is non-refundable. I canceled my appointment 2 days in advance and requested a refund but they never responded and simply kept my money. Horrible business practice. Don’t go here.

If I could have given negative stars I would have. $18,000+ in legal fees. And my situation was actually worsened with their "assistance".
