Mr. Christopher Putnam Perkins

Dr. Perkins has experience in patent preparation and prosecution before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the area of biotechnology inventions. He has authored scientific publications in numerous scientific journals, including Genes and Development; the Journal of Biological Chemistry; and Genetics; and has presented seminars on using animal models to study gene function at numerous forums, including the University of Southern California Medical School; Amgen, Inc.; and the Department of Biology and Center for Cancer Research at MIT. He has also presented seminars on patent law and biotechnology at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the law schools of Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and for the Carolina Patent Trademark and Copyright Law Association (CPTCLA). He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, CPTCLA, the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), and the Licensing Executives Society (LES).
