Can I get a DUI conviction sealed in Rabun County? It has been 4 years. Thank you.

Answered by attorney Evan Austin Watson

DUI convictions are forever.  Under Georgia law, DUIs do not get expunged, removed from your record, or go away.  Georgia even prohibits First Offender for being used on DUI arrests.

If I showed evidence that drinking a bottle of beer is prescribed to me by my doctor, will the police drop my DUI?

You did not get a DUI for drinking one bottle of beer, unless that beer was consumed with medication, because one beer by itself cannot make you DUI. So, I doubt the charges will be dropped.

Depends on the facts of the case and how hard you fight. You could be acquitted if you take it to trial.
