If I'm going to plead guilty to a DUI, do I need an attorney?

Answered by attorney Patrick Owen Earl
DUI/DWI lawyer at Patrick O. Earl
In my opinion it is crazy to represent yourself on any criminal matter. If you don't have the money to hire an attorney apply for a court appointed attorney.? They are great lawyers. Don't do this on your own.

If I violated first offenders program before court date, what do I do?

Hudson Thomas Bair
Answered by attorney Hudson Thomas Bair (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Kapsack & Bair, LLP
You should speak to an attorney with experience handling these types of cases in your county. If your use of marijuana is prescribed by a physician you may have a defense to the charges you face in court. Regarding the DUI program kicking you out, you need to contact them about the steps necessary to be readmitted, unless you are attending the DUI classes due to a court order in which case you will need to return to court for a new court order before they will accept you back into the program.
