This depends upon what you mean by "original file copy." Original copies of the Uniform Traffic Ticket Complaint and similar documentation that was produced by the police or by the court are not kept by your attorney; these are kept by the court. Your attorney likely has copies of them, but they are not the originals. You can always obtain copies of these documents from the court if your attorney does not have them. If you are referring to documentation which your attorney has created in anticipation of litigation, then the attorney may not be required to give you these documents that are considered "work product." Your attorney has the responsibility to give you all other documents in your file upon request, unless you still owe the attorney for work performed.

Hi, It depends on what it is you were actually charged with and ultimately what you pleaded down to. If you were charged with a DWI, but took a violation and a 90 day license suspension, for instance, then it will not be on your record. New York state criminal record searches do not include violations, so if you received one, it won't show on your record. Misdemeanors will.  Unfortunately, NY State does not allow the expungment of a record, so if you have one, it will show when a search is conducted, despite the fact that it occurred so long ago.  I hope this helps (hard to answer in more detail without knowing complete specifics on your case). How much it costs, depends on the filing fee of the jurisdiction. Lawyers also vary their fees depending on the difficulty and number of charges to be expunged. Most cities require a motion explaining why an expungement is appropriate or necessary.
