The burden is on law enforcement to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. I recommend you hire an attorney.

I got drunk driving charges in Michigan what should I do?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
Michigan treats drunk driving very seriously, even for first time offenders. You are looking at up to 93 days in jail, one year probation, fines of $500 plus court costs and costs of prosecution and reimbursement to the police, six points on your driving record, $2,000 in driver responsibility fees, and possible vehicle immobilization or impound. Not to mention the collateral costs such as higher insurance premiums and possibly effecting your career, job, or schooling. A good DUI attorney will more than pay for himself in what he can potentially save you. It would be a wise investment.

What is the penalty for speeding ticket under DUI diversion?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
Your question cannot be answered without additional facts. I would strongly suggest that you engage an attorney who would argue on your behalf that speeding should not be considered a violation of your diversionary program. If your license was actually suspended at the time of the incident you have a much more serious problem.
