Would it benefit me to hire an attorney or do I already have enough bills coming in as it is?

Yes, you absolutely need to hire an attorney to represent you for the DUI, as well as for the Driving While Suspended, etc. The police don't have to show you the results of the breathalyzer test or blood test. If you are convicted of DUI, you will lose your license for at least a year, plus you may have a difficult time ever getting a decent job (especially one that requires driving) with a DUI conviction on your record. If you are convicted of Driving While Suspended, 12 points are added to your driving record and your license is suspended for 1 year. The failure to stop at a red light and speeding will cause 2 points each to be added to your driving record also. Your insurance company will increase your rates if they see all these convictions on your driving record. An attorney can get the tickets reduced to non-moving, no-point infractions if you are able to get your license reinstated. It's possible that the DUI can be plea-bargained down and you will be on probation with an SIS (suspended imposition of sentence) for 1-2 years. You will also have to take the SATOP alcohol education class and you may have to perform several hours of community service.

What happens when you have two DUI's and two MIP's?

The maximum penalty for any misdemeanor in Nevada is 6 months in jail and $1,000 fine in addition to loss of driver's license for increasing periods of time. A person could be subject to two years in jail and $4,000 fines plus loss of driving licenses for several years if convicted of two DUI's and two MIP's.

If I was charged with my second DUI charge, will I be thrown in jail?

This sounds like the third iteration of the same question. Wisconsin hasn't changed its minimum mandatory jail time of 5 days for an OWI this afternoon. And while jail time can go up to 6 months, a good lawyer can help you get the best deal, or a good trial.
