My boyfriends was arrested and charge for a 4th DUI while his license was still suspended for a 3rd DUI. What penalties does this incur?

What is your boyfruend's criminal and driving record ? This is crucial because this will or will not tell the judge that the person is thumbing g his nose at the system. if he has a record of breaking the law, then the penalty will be greater. He needs to 'fix ' what is broken in his life. If he can show the judge he is addressing his problems in a realistic manner, he can greatly shorten his sentence. Please call if we can help. Can I get a suspension reduced for time served since I now have served a year of the suspension since I went to court?

In New Jersey, if you have already served both periods of suspension, you can pay a restoration fee to the State Motor Vehicle Commission and as long as you fulfilled all other terms of your sentence, you can be restored.

Are DUI field sobriety tests pass or fail?

Answered by attorney Christopher L Jackson
DUI/DWI lawyer at Law Offices of Christopher L. Jackson, LLC
Field sobriety tests are pass/fail based on clues the officer observes during the test. Remember, depending on the test, a fail is only a 60-70% indicating that a person is under the influence of alcohol. Also, unlike the breath test, there is no penalty for refusing the field sobriety tests.
