What should I do if I was given another person's case number and the clerk already done the work for that paper?

Bruce Provda
Answered by attorney Bruce Provda (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Provda Law Firm
If you want to do this on your own, you need to go to the clerk of the court that gave you the wrong information and talk about straightening out. If you can get an attorney, they can work this out for you.

Can he still get divorced from my mom?

Answered by attorney Anne Barbara Howard (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Anne B. Howard, A Professional Law Corporation
He can file for divorce. He should be ordered to pay spousal support. In California she doesnt have to sign the papers, just be served with them for the divorce to proceed. If she has dementia, a conservatorship may be necessary.

What can I do if my ex husband raised alimony to $2700 monthly a year ago and now he claims the order says $1800 only and he is lowering it?

Based on the facts you cite it will not be possible to get a reliable answer from this good website. The proper answer comes from an attorney who was read the precise wording of the alimony order. You should contact an attorney soon, because if a modification is needed it will not be retroactive earlier than the date you file a motion for that.
