How long do you have to be married to someone to obtain their house that’s only in their name?

Divorce lawyer at The Montes Law Firm
If the house is in the boyfriend's name and he had it before the marriage, it is considered separate property. She may be able to kick him out for a short period of time, but in the end the house will return back to the owner. Upon divorce she may have a claim for reimbursement, but that is not likely to happen if she is only married to the guy a short period of time. She will not be able to marry him, kick him out and then keep his house.

Will the state give his ex-wife half of the part time pension or only the pension that is named on the QDRO, which is his current full time job?

Your fact statement is too confusing to be certain what the issue is. But, as a rule all property issues decided in a divorce case are final and permanent, meaning decisions cannot be changed later. The state cannot do anything other than what a court order requires, even if you mean that the "state" is also the employer or the retirement plan administrator. A QDRO only applies to one single, specified retirement plan that existed at the time of divorce.

How can I go about getting a divorce from my husband?

Answered by attorney James Kristian Falk (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at The Falk Law Firm, LLC
Is South Carolina you can only get divorced for "cause". South Carolina does not have no-fault divorce. The grounds for divorce in South Carolina are: adultery, habitual drunkenness, physical cruelty, and one year's continuous separation or abandonment. Many people in SC will separate, wait for one year to pass, and then file for divorce based upon the separation.
