Divorce lawyer at Law Offices of Webster & Associates
IN Nevada, whoever filed and served their documents first determines the department where the case will proceed. If you sent each other the paperwork and didn't file or servce it neither of you has priority at this point. This response is intended to provide general information only and is not a substitute for speaking to an attorney. This response does not create an attorney client relationship between the Anita Webster, Esq. or Webster & Associates and the readers

If we get divorced, am I entitled to any part of the house?

Answered by attorney Monica H. Donaldson Stewart
Divorce lawyer at Donaldson Stewart, P.C.
If the house was purchased during the marriage, you may have the right to either share the value of the house or to request reimbursement for certain funds paid toward the house during the marriage. It depends on certain factors that are too complicated to address in this manner. I recommend you consult with an attorney to discuss this issue in greater detail.

Does my wife have any rights to monetary gifts given to me prior to us getting divorced?

Answered by attorney Clayton Lockhart (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at The Lockhart Law Firm
The short "generic" answer is that she can file a claim for any property that was acquired while the two of you are still legally married. Then, once she does stake a claim to it, she will have to convince the judge that the property is considered "marital property" before the judge grants her an interest in the property. And yes, money that you received while you and your spouse were separated may be determined to be "marital property" and the judge orders that she be given a share of those funds.
