If I was served with divorce papers by my ex-fiancé who is requesting spousal support but we are not married, what is the best course of action?

file a response which will state you are not married. Don't ignore it because otherwise the court won't know that you are not married and might make orders which need to be set aside. That will cost more time and money than filing a response.

Can I be charged for forgery if I sign my husband's name on one of his checks and deposit it in my account?

Yes you can be charged with forgery. The only name you are legally allowed to sign is your own unless you have some kind of written permission to do otherwise. Even with a power of attorney, you still sign your own name on behalf of some other person. Don't break the law.

What can I do about my alimony from my husband under WC?

If he isn't getting a pay check or unemployment, you have nothing to attach your wage assignment to so that you can get your payments directly from his employer. If he has money in a bank account, you can have your arrears determined and attach his bank account (if you believe that he has enough money in the bank to make sure this process worthwhile).
