Do I have to pay alimony if my spouse has been committing adultery?

Annette M Cox Sandoval
Answered by attorney Annette M Cox Sandoval (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Cox Sandoval Law, PLLC
Arizona is a no fault state. Spousal maintenance (alimony) is not affected by wrongdoing such has adultery. You should consider consulting an attorney to determine whether you are at risk of having to pay spousal maintenance. It is based more on the parties' financial circumstances, the person's ability to support him or herself after a marriage, and sacrifices made during the marriage to the benefit of the community.
