My wife filled for divorce. I have been given 20 days to respond. Who do I respond too.

Morghan Leia Richardson
Answered by attorney Morghan Leia Richardson (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Richardson Legal PLLC
If you decide to hire a lawyer, the lawyer will respond with a Notice of Appearance. If you are trying to represent yourself, you would enter your own Notice of Appearance. You will send this to her lawyer and then file a copy with the Court. This lets the court know that your divorce should not be granted on a default; that there are issues that need to be resolve in your case.   Good luck!

My ex owes me $12 K in retirement rollover according to divorce decree. I''ve been asking for 2 years. Can I charge him interest? What''s reasonable?

Answered by attorney Alfred Joseph Polizzotto

If there is a breach of a stipulation of settlement, you may make a motion for contempt of court and if there is indeed a breach found, the Court can order an award with prejudgment interest at 9% from the date of the breach.   - Alfred Polizzotto, III

How can i get temporary support

If you have a lawyer that attorney should know how to seek support - and know that waiting two years is often fatal to a support request.
