How could I get copies of a required post-divorce payment?

Richard B. Jacobson

The judge will not usually give you any suggestions. You could move for an Order requiring her to provide the statements to you. It might be in the form of a motion to amend the judgment. Get back in touch with your lawyer: it's almost always worth it. Good Luck.

Is there some way to waive the divorce fee since I don’t make enough money?

Sheri Smallwood
Answered by attorney Sheri Smallwood (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Sheri Smallwood Chartered
If you are referring to the clerk's fee which is payable upon the filing of an action for dissolution of marriage, the answer to the first part of your question is yes. There are provisions under which the filing fee may be waived or paid in installments. Whether such provisions would be applicable depends on the totality of the individual's financial circumstances. The local clerk's office will have a form on which you may list all of your assets, income, monetary obligations, and debts. They will then make a determination whether you qualify for such relief.
