Divorced from bed and board, in selling marital home, I find that due to my disability I cannot find housing can I request delay in sale of home?

Answered by attorney Diana L. Anderson

That is something that can be negotiated in the divorce proceedings or you can make arrangements to stay in the house under a use and occupancy agreement (also known as a U&O).  Good luck.

This is not a question, but I would like to get a divorce.

Answered by attorney Bari Zell Weinberger
Divorce lawyer at Weinberger Divorce Family Law Group, LLC
Thank you for your message. I am sorry that your marriage did not work out.  Unfortunately, without further details, it is impossible to answer your question. Additionally, you may want to explore procuring an annulment as opposed to a divorce. I suggest that you contact an immigration attorney with regards to the question as to immigration status and then consult with a family Law attorney in order to discuss whether you should proceed by way of divorce or whether an annulment is more advantageous to you.

Can I legally take the car if it is in both our names after divorce?

Answered by attorney John E. Kirchner (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at John E. Kirchner
The divorce process must decide who get the car and the title will have to be changed to reflect that decision. Once a court order says it belongs to one party, the other party has no right to it regardless of whether the title certificate gets changed in a timely manner.
