Can an ex-spouse get Military Retirement after the divorce decree is final?

Answered by attorney Ronald L Bornstein (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Ronald Bornstein, Attorney at Law
Generally, a spouse's share in any military benefits is determined and awarded during the divorce, not after. There can be circumstances under which your branch of service may still award a spousal share of benefits, such as when the divorce judgment is silent on the issue. You should consult with a family law attorney with experience in military divorces to discuss your specific situation and your options.

How can I get financial help from my husband who left me if we were together for 25 years?

Why did you leave the house? He cannot make you leave the house if you are married. It doesn't matter whose name is on it. As for your other questions, it sounds as if you are most likely entitled to alimony, but only a judge can force him to support you financially. You need to talk with an attorney.

How can I legally get my husband out of the house I bought before we were married?

Answered by attorney John E. Kirchner (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at John E. Kirchner
The only way to get him out is to file for divorce and get all issues of possession and control of property decided in that case. In Colorado and most other states you do not need his "consent" to get divorced. Consult an attorney to discuss the situation in person.
