For an ncontested divorce, what happens if I do not file a pettition response?

This appears to be a "no fault" divorce rather than an "uncontested" divorce.? There is a difference in the two.? Generally speaking, judges would rather have the parties come to agreements on everything, rather than the judge have to make a decision on any issues.? It appears as though the two of you have worked out all of your issues and I would be quite surprised if the judge made any changes to your agreement.? My guess is that the judge is probably going to sign an agreed order granting the divorce and making the agreements that the parties have already reached be a part of the order.

I need to get an affidavit of merit in order to sue my previous attorney. How can I get that.

Answered by attorney Diana L. Anderson
Divorce lawyer at Diana L. Anderson
You need to have your case reviewed by another attorney, and have that second attorney be willing to do the Affidavit of Merit indicating that they have reviewed the case, and that the first attorney somehow deviated from the standard that should have been used.

Want to divorce

Answered by attorney Diana L. Anderson
Divorce lawyer at Diana L. Anderson
You need to find someone who practices in the County in which you live. You should look for a lawyer that does matrimonial work as a "specialty" or concentration.  You can use Lawyers.com to find a lawyer, or you can use this forum to post a question to a group of lawyers. If you try Lawyers.com and cannot find a lawyer in your county, contact my office and I will help you find someone.
