How do I go about getting a divorce if I have a son and a house?

Answered by attorney Sarina Gianna
Divorce lawyer at Law Office of Sarina Gianna, LLC
It sounds like your relationship will not enable you to settle your matter in an amicable fashion. As such, you will likely have to hire the services of an attorney that can gather all the facts and financial documents in order to initiate the divorce process. In the course of the divorce process, the custody and parenting time issues regarding your child will also be worked out or ultimately tried before a Judge.

Can i get ssi?

Richard Scott Diamond
Answered by attorney Richard Scott Diamond (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Diamond & Diamond, P.A.
My suggestion is that you sit down with a lawyer who specializes in Elder Law / Estate law to determine whether you can amend your status for social security purposes, since you already acknowledge that you are already receiving SSI.

Seems like I'm heading towards divorce. I sold both of my companies to my son. Can my wife still go after the companies?

Answered by attorney Diana L. Anderson
Divorce lawyer at Diana L. Anderson
The proceeds from the sale could be marital assets.  If you sold the businesses to your sons for a discounted price, there could be som e adjustment made for the true fair market value.
