Will my sister be forced to leave her apartment when divorce is filed?

Answered by attorney Renea Overstreet
Divorce lawyer at Overstreet Law Firm
This is something the lawyer will answer after getting more information from your sister. The Court will make orders that are in the best interest of the children and if that means mom lives in the apartment with the children, any Texas Court can make that order.

How can I get signing a document about a pension reversed?

Richard B. Jacobson
Answered by attorney Richard B. Jacobson (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Richard B. Jacobson Associates, LLC
It is impossible to say what is or is not true in what he told you. You would have to look at the pension documents with care. In Wisconsin, there is a pretty strong duty to read a paper before you sign it. I suggest you consult a lawyer Very Soon. Good Luck.

If a couple gets married in one state does state law where they live apply in the divorce?

Answered by attorney Diane L. Berger (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Diane L. Berger
The law where the parties are living is the only law that matters. Where the couple married has no significance.
