What am i required to give my spouse until divorce is final?

Kristen Prata Browde

Unless there's an order from a court there is no requirement that you do anything at all... but if she petitions for support any support would be calculated from the date the petition is filed.

My husband owns our house in his name only because it was bought with his deceased wife. Do I get a share of the house in our divorce?

If he owned the house prior to the marriage it is not marital property subject to division in a divorce, except under very unusual circumstances. whether those circumstances exist in your case is something you should discuss in detail with a local attorney.

The judge who issues the orders has broad discretion to determine - but if the orders aren't issued simultaneously then whoever gets the first order usually has the upper hand.
