Monetary issues in a divorce

If you are on duty overseas, a stay can be put in place by the Court so nothing will happen in your absence.  Plus, if you do not live in Georgia, or have never lived in Georgia while married, then the Georgia Court will have no personal jurisdiction over you.  She can file an "in rem" divorce which involves the marriage issue alone - no other property or monetary issues.

You asked:  I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHERE DO I START... I WANT A DIVORCE BUT MY WIFE WANT SIGN THE DIVORCE PAPERS WE HAVE BEEN SEPARATED FOR ALMOST 6 YEARS..... You should start by talking to a local attorney.  In most states, your wife would not be required to sign any documents.  If she failed to cooperate then the Court may be able to enter a default judgment of divorce.    Stu Shafer

If the house was paid off prior to your marriage then you have no claim to any of the equity. However, your husband will have to account for mortgage payments made with community funds and buy you out.
