How long it takes to get the copy of the judgement in a divorce case in California?

I am not 100% clear about your question. IF the judgment has already been filed with the court and you simply need to get a copy of it, it should be very quick. If you were able to go to the clerk's office in the county in which the judgment was entered, you would be able to stand in line and get the copy the same day. If the copy is being mailed to you, it would likely arrive in about seven business days. You mentioned that you applied for a copy of the judgment which makes me wonder if you are saying that you submitted the judgment and accompanying papers for filing and want to know how soon it will be before your judgment is processed and a copy returned to you. If this is your question, the answer varies from county-to-county and from judge-to-judge. In Orange County, assuming that all necessary papers have been correctly submitted, a reasonable estimate is 6 - 8 weeks. With the state's budget issues and the upcoming holidays, it could take longer.

Where do we stand as being married or are we legally separated if we reconciled before completing divorce?

If there has never been a judgment of divorce entered, you are still legally married. Congratulations

Now that we are getting divorced, 15 years later, his lawyer is saying that he gets his money back that we used to buy the house. Is that true?

Technically your husband gets his money back, dollar for dollar without any appreciation, but you get 1/2 of any appreciation as he put both of your names on it.
