Will I get anything if my husband divorces me for cheating?

Gary A. Russell
Answered by attorney Gary A. Russell (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Clos, Russell & Wirth, P.C.
Fault may be considered by a court when ruling on a divorce, including the division of property, debts and spousal support. It is highly unlikely, however, that you would be denied any portion of the marital property due to infidelity.

Is our marriage void if my wife was married at the time?

Answered by attorney Michael V. Fancher (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Seattle Divorce Services
Your marriage is at least potential invalid if your wife was married at the time. I do not know of a way to fix the marriage certificate. It may be possible to remarry. I would suggest consulting with any attorney in your area for more specific information on this issue.

What can I do if my husband and I own a home together and he wants me to move out?

Answered by attorney Mark T. Peters (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
You can file for divorce now and get a court order for him to pay for your new place. That way you can make sure he keeps his word. Or you can ask the court to move him out.
