During one of the most traumatizing times in my life, Attorney Yancy offered me guidance and compassion without requiring a retainer. She is a phenomenal family law attorney who is diligent, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to her clients. Attorney Yancy knew my case through and through, always sticking to the facts and handling every detail with care and professionalism. When I felt overwhelmed, she kept me calm. She took my case seriously and treated my child and me with genuine concern, even reaching out during the holidays just to check on us. Her services were not only exceptional but also affordable, which made an enormous difference. Attorney Yancy is now more than just an attorney to me; she has become an extension of our family. I am forever grateful for her dedication and integrity. If I could ever repay her for what she has done, I would. From now on, I will refer anyone I know to her because her name truly speaks for itself.

M Y was attentive and responsive in the beginning of the case as a we got into a year of the case I started to notice how during trial she really wasn't making sure the proper questions was being asked nor did I feel heard. She got very disrespectful within the second year ignoring my calls, not texting back, she even got rude and very unprofessional upon my trying to make an appointment to discuss the case BEfore trial not to mention she had been paid in full. I will say she was affordable and did return the last payment I sent because we parted ways.

Thin skinned and little intelligence. Yancy is one of the worst attorneys in Michigan. Save yourself the headache and heartache by finding yourself another attorney. She might as well kick a can down the road for a living because that’s about all she’s good for.

She’s a fraud and ran off with my money I need help on trying to sue her. She needs her license taken away from her! She’s worthless. She seemed interested in taking on the case but stop answering the phone wouldn’t return email or text msgs

Horrible attorney and horrible character!! She does not reply, she lies and tries to get more money when she doesn’t even do what she says she would. Perfect example of a scammer trying to get money for absolutely nothing! She should have her license to practice law taken away!!!

I had a horrible experience with Ms Yancy. She was expedient in taking my retainer but super slow preparing my case. She took a Reconsideration I had wrote and added a few meaningless edits, then took 40 days to file causing me to lose my case. She wouldn't answer my calls or texts to discuss my case. Basically took my money and ran. Then had the nerve to call me when I filed a motion without her like I was going to hire her again. Heavens no! Save yourself time and money and keep scrolling if you're considering her.

Communication was poor, deadlines were missed, and I felt ignored after payment was made. I’ve made several attempts to follow up with no meaningful response or resolution. In my opinion, this behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable for someone in a position of public trust. I am in the process of filing a formal complaint with the State Bar and will continue to pursue accountability through the appropriate legal channels. I do not recommend Mary L. Yancy to anyone seeking reliable, honest legal representation. 1. Working with this woman was nothing but a head ache. She took my daughter’s money and did absolutely nothing but push court dates back. She wouldn’t respond to numerous calls and didn’t file the proper papers necessary for the help needed. She had to show up on zoom on a court date that was supposed to be in person because she completely forgot that they had court. She is an awful lawyer and I would stay clear of her! My daughter gave her $6200 and she didn’t get any help from this woman!! She dropped her case and wouldn’t even give my daughter files from the case. Horrible person!!!

I'll be laughing my f**king a** off when she goes to prison. I don't believe she has a law degree. If she does it should be suspended ASAP. She's a voodoo person. If you want something done that most people would find reprehensible, then definitely call her.
