About Marian V. Ratton

Marian has dedicated her career to helping others through difficult experiences, both as a nurse and an attorney. Marian was born in Michigan and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. After returning to Michigan, Marian worked as an ICU nurse in Detroit while attending Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University). Upon graduation from law school, Marian began her legal career at a large Detroit firm, where she defended hospitals and healthcare professionals. She later worked as an ICU and Cardiac Cath Lab nurse in Detroit while raising her six children with her husband, Michael. Marian has since returned to the full time practice of law, where she specializes in professional licensing, family law, and medical malpractice. Her 30 years of combined medical and legal experience, along with her desire and commitment to helping others, provides her with a unique background of expertise and experience.

Hired Attorney

I was faced with being forced into LARA mandated addiction program,despite having proven this was medically unnecessary. Marian was very knowledgeable in regards to the unconstitutional methods employed by LARA and HPRP. She supported me as I chose to fight for my, and the rights of other healthcare professionals. I am so very thankful to her for her knowledge, bravery, counsel, support and compassion. Today my future looks bright. Thanks to this amazing attorney!
