About Joseph Orry-Leroy Baker

I hold a Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law (2001) and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Washington State University (1998). I was admitted to the Washington Bar in 2002. Since then, I have held various roles in the legal field, including owner of my own law office. For the past 10+ years, I have been the managing member at Gehrke, Baker, Doull & Kelly, PLLC. My 22+ years of experience covers federal and state trial courts, criminal defense, personal injury, administrative law, civil rights, and post-conviction rights restoration. I have successfully argued before the Washington Supreme Court and I am admitted to practice in multiple courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Federal Circuits. I am a graduate of Highline High School in Burien, Washington and I currently reside with my wife and two children in Auburn, Washington. I am a lifelong fan of the Mariners, Seahawks and WSU Cougars. I enjoy playing basketball, movies, music and playing guitar and trombone.
