Joseph Moser maintains a civil litigation practice in Iowa’s state and federal courts. Joe’s practice focuses on trial work, primarily defending individuals and businesses in a wide-range of matters. He handles complex litigation and is experienced in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, medical and professional malpractice defense, health law, professional licensing, employment law, products and premises liability, personal injury, wrongful death, insurance coverage analysis and defense, and workers compensation.
Joe regularly assists hospitals, physicians, and other licensed health care providers with civil litigation, regulatory compliance, and internal and administrative investigations. Joe defends employers and individuals in employment related litigation and provides employment related advice. Joe has served as the first and second-chair attorney in several bench and jury trials and has successfully defended appeals to the Iowa Supreme Court and Iowa Court of Appeals.
Joe is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, the Polk County Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Joe has served on the Board of Governors for both the Iowa State Bar Association (2018–2024) and the Polk County Bar Association (2018–present). He has been actively involved in both organizations for a number of years, having also served on the Board of Governors for the Young Lawyer's Division of the Iowa State Bar Association and as the co-chair of the Social Committee for the Polk County Bar Association.
