I initially thought Robert Lantz was on the right path, but I’m saddened to say that my $10,000 retainer was quickly depleted. During our “free” case assessment, I explained my desired outcome, but the conversation soon turned to small talk and personal topics. The first letter he drafted didn’t align with what I wanted, but his charm made me overlook it at the time. If you wish to be charmed, he is your man; however, if you want someone who can think clearly and deliver effective results, he is not the person for you. The ongoing discussions about what he might do next were endless, and I paid for time spent on “thinking” rather than progress. He went down a "rabbit hole," and I told him so. He then said he would do another letter at "no charge," and I explained that writing letters would be ineffective since my previous attorney had followed the same approach with no results. And guess what he wrote another ineffective letter and then sent me a bill. What nerve!
