DO NOT HIRE Michael is a terrible attorney. He was habitually late.. one time he forgot about a hearing and had to call in. He doesn’t return calls and when he does he acts put out. His appearance was sloppy and he instills zero confidence with his presence. Less than zero confidence. If you doubt this review… take a chance on him. There are literally thousands of other attorneys that are more qualified and care more.
Do not retain this man. I had Michael reach out to me on legal match , this should have been my first warning. I paid him a $3,000 retainer and he suggested I pay him a $500 flat fee each month going forward. In hindsight he did this because he saw what an easy case it was and that all he was going to have to do was ask for continuance after continuance thereby ensuring himself $500 every month for doing nothing as he aged the case towards a plea deal. He was absent for half his appearances. One he told the judge over the phone that he was "coming down from the mountains" and couldn't be there. Of course he still got his $500 that month and I was standing in front of the judge alone. On the day of my sentencing he text messaged me, 15 minutes late, to ask what court room we were in. He advised me to not deny anything and admit to everything. The victim made a 5 minute statement ( which he didn't object to ) full of absolute lies that I was unable to refute because I took his advice.
