Ms. Thompson has practiced water and environmental law for 12 years including federal reclamation litigation and state water rights adjudications. Ms. Thompson has significant experience representing the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District, and previously the Lower Arkansas Valley Water Conservancy District, before the state and federal courts on issues ranging from water adjudications, to federal standing, and contractual repayment obligations. Ms. Thompson also represents other public clients including a Colorado ground water management district, with extensive experience in administrative proceedings before the Colorado Ground Water Commission. Additional Experience: Carter & Burgess, Consulting Engineers, Inc., Environmental Planner where she consulted for public and private sectors in NEPA compliance, Clean Water Act permitting, Endangered Species Act consultation, and cultural resources analysis; worked extensively with engineers and managed Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements for the Department of Transportation in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Arkansas.
