She served as mediator in a domestic issue. As a mediator, she was charged with impartiality and the need to insure that both parties were treated fairly and informed on issues. Instead she was threatening in her assertions, made statements of potential future results that were not consistent with legal facts of the case, failed to require reciprocal evidence from the opposing party, and in general appeared to be "in the pocket" of the opposing counsel who had quickly suggested her services.
Review is about 10+ years overdue, but now that my daughter is older and the courts can no longer torture me, I have decided to start speaking out about mediators, judges, GALs, etc. Many comments were out of line: When mediating parenting time, Helen told me that Christmas was a "commercial holiday," disregarding my Christian beliefs (the other parent is an atheist). Another "favorite" comment was when I showed Helen a picture of my daughter; she said with surprise that my daughter was "prettier than expected" and then stated that she took after her dad.
She's never changed. She's a hired gun for one of the attorney's. Fairness and integrity is not her motto. Hire somebody else.
