About Cameron J. Richards

Cameron J. Richards focuses his practice on public finance matters and representing special purpose local government matters. He represents clients as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriters counsel, and issuers counsel as well as advising on all aspects of public finance transactions and serving as counsel to Colorado Special Districts. Cameron is experienced with all manner of ad valorem tax, special revenue, and certificate of participation financings for authorities, metropolitan districts, water and sanitation districts, recreation districts, library districts and other local governments. Cameron has represented issuers on Special Improvement District financings and Certificate of Participation financings. In addition, Cameron is experienced with special district formation and associate real estate matters. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, he served as general counsel to the Sterling Ranch Community Authority Board and Sterling Ranch Colorado Metropolitan Districts Nos. 1-7, public entities serving the Sterling Ranch planned development. This development is approved for 12,050 housing units plus commercial development.

• Acted as issuer counsel in connection with the issuance by the Sterling Ranch Community Authority Board of its Limited Tax Supported Revenue Bonds Serries 2022, Series 2023B, Series 2023 Junior Subordinate, and Series 2024B bonds totaling over $270,000,000.°

• Acted as issuer counsel in connection with the issuance of Sterling Ranch Community Authority Board Special Improvement District Bonds totaling $43,000,000.°

• Acted as issuer counsel for multiple certificate of participation financings for Colorado library districts funding facility expansion projects.°
