I became a lawyer because I could not stand inequity. Unfortunately, not many things in life are fair and certainly not in our judicial system. When I was growing up, almost every fight I got into was protecting someone getting bullied, which is what our justice system will do to you if you do not have a good lawyer. Furthermore, I am still an athlete and have been my whole life. I even played baseball at Texas Tech for 4 years. To be a good athlete, you have to be competitive. You have to want to win. As a lawyer, I want to win. I am obsessive in the way I prepare for a case for trial, I want to win. It is my belief that the keys to winning at trial is first of all, knowing “when to hold them and when to fold them”, and preparation and more preparation. It also helps to have tried hundreds of criminal jury trials, and even more contested divorce trials before the court. I have over 40 years’ experience. I practice on helping clients throughout Denton, Tarrant, Dallas, Wise, Collin, and Cooke Counties of Texas in criminal defense and family law matters, estate planning and probate. I am a Specialist in Criminal Law, as certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
