Carry Piel is a fantastic person. As my attorney he was always on top of things and always communicating with me. He is up front and direct will fight for you. I highly recommend Mr. Piel. He has the experience and very knowledgeable on law.

He has a very calm personality and turn a bad situation around. Very smart man.

Although he is a personable man, he is not a good communicator and had it not been for his partner at the time my case would not have been handled. As it was there was evidence that was not presented and for $7500 I do not feel that I was treated fairly. Since his partner and he split ways I have yet to get a return phone call from him unless I call him on his personal phone call. I do NOT recommend this lawyer.

Cary piel was very rude and unhelpful. Upon visiting my husband he didn’t care to hear anything he had to say. Automatically started talking about plea bargains and insisting to take a 30 year sentence as a win. He was very dismissive and showed no empathy for his client. I have read other reviews that voiced the same. People are fighting for their lives and freedom just for someone to come in that are supposed to help but tear them down. This lawyer is a sad excuse in this profession…

Our family had a very disappointing experience with attorney Cary Piel, who was appointed as public defender for a close family member facing serious charges. Over seven months, communication was minimal. He met with his client only once despite multiple court dates and was often rude, dismissive, or unable to provide meaningful updates. He also appeared inconvenienced when we shared background details that another attorney later confirmed were important to the defense. After months of feeling unsupported, we hired a private attorney. Within weeks, the new attorney met with our family member several times, reviewed discovery, identified flaws in the charges, spoke with the district attorney, and secured amended charges and a resolution resulting in release based on time served and community supervision. The contrast in effort and professionalism was striking. We strongly encourage anyone assigned to Cary Piel to research carefully before trusting his representation.
