Hugh Coleman is a lifelong Texan with a distinguished legal and public service career. He earned his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Trinity University in San Antonio and a law degree from the University of Tulsa School of Law. Licensed in all Texas state courts, Mr. Coleman is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Coleman has held key leadership positions in the legal community, serving previously as President of the Denton County Bar Association and the Denton County Young Lawyers Association, and as a Director of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, where he was twice honored with the President's Award of Merit. As a former Denton County Commissioner, he championed public service initiatives, including the founding of the Denton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Program. His career encompasses broad legal experience, with significant roles as a city attorney, municipal prosecutor, and counsel for the Denton County Sheriff’s Office. In private practice, Mr. Coleman advises businesses and individuals on employment law, HR policies, and complex litigation, and is recognized for his dedication to both the legal profession and community service.
