Susan B. Hillyard is a law firm established in 1998 with an office in Delta, CO. At this office location, there is 1 lawyer practicing administrative law, agricultural law, business law and 15 other areas of law.
We needed to make changes to our wills etc, which were originally written in Ohio. When we asked for the estimate, Susan said: ”It is hard to say exactly, it will be between $700 and $800”. We agreed to this, even though it seemed high. The same documents were made from scratch in Ohio for $900, here we needed mostly changes and were providing original documents in Microsoft Word format.
Without any warning the final bill came to $1,813! After some arguing, it was dropped to $1,576, still double the estimate. How would you feel if your car mechanic said the repairs will be between $700 and $800, and then charged you double without calling you?
Only a couple of interesting details. The charge for emailing a one page Microsoft Word document (we are not talking about preparing or typing here) was $20, without warning again.
And last but never least, Susan charges extra on top of the bill for using a credit card.
