Daniel Matthew Ifill

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this attorney. After paying a retainer, I received little to no action on my case. When I requested a partial refund for the lack of progress, I was met with a refusal and was shockingly told that I owed more money instead. This felt like a manipulative response designed to take advantage of someone already in a vulnerable situation. In my opinion, this attorney is not trustworthy and does not operate with integrity. I would strongly advise others to be cautious and seek legal help elsewhere. I will not be recommending his services to anyone.

Dan wrote a Will, he was my Power-of-Attorney, he was on my Trust, and was my Executor. I have had a stroke in Dan's office which caused a memory deficit, and Dan is well aware of this issue. Dan charged me $5,000 three times to write these documents, and I didn't remember him charging me before. He then took another $5,000 to write an Irrevocable Trust which he never completed. When I asked for my money to be refunded, he refused. Then, Dan resigned from his duties 8 months later for no good reason. He just sent me his resignation paper. I believe that Dan had this planned all along. This is a total loss of $20,000, and I can't afford to have another Will written. I live alone in Florida, and there is no one here who would know when I pass away. Dan agreed to text me in the morning, which he did for exactly one day. All I can say, is to be very careful, do not close your eyes for even a second if you hire him to do anything for you.

BUYER BEWARE. A SHYSTER AND A LIAR. Don't give Dan Ifilll a retainer cuz you'll never get It back. I terminated him over one year ago. He was completely compensated for the amount of work he eventually completed yet has kept most of the retainer for work he never even started. Keep in mind that he had no problem responding to text messages or answering phone calls while under my tenure because it was billable, but when I asked for my money back, he simply ghosted me. I have emailed, texted, left messages with his office and on his personal cell to no avail. Dan is a one man show running a Mickey Mouse operation. Don't call the office because nobody will answer. It's a service, not a human. I eventually sent a certified letter to his office and he still has the balls not to reply. What kind of professional lawyer does this? Why is he deliberately ignoring his ethical obligation to act in his client's best interest? I guess so.
