Michael Thaler is an attorney dedicated to helping clients navigate complex legal challenges, focusing on achieving just and fair outcomes. A former Assistant District Attorney, he has been in private practice since 2016, using his extensive courtroom experience to represent clients throughout Massachusetts in District, Superior, and Probate and Family Courts. His primary areas of focus are criminal defense and family law.
With a broad background as a trial attorney, Michael handles cases from the initial investigation through resolution or trial. During his time as an ADA, he prosecuted over a thousand cases, argued hundreds of motions, and brought more than one hundred trials to verdict in Norfolk County District Courts, including over ten felony trials in Superior Court.
A native of the Boston area, Michael earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and holds a B.A. from Duke University. He is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and the Federal District of Massachusetts.
