I recently went through the settling of my deceased brother's estate. I appointed as executor. Melvin Stack and his most competent and professional paralegal, Jenne'a Defeo, handled all aspects of the probate process with a timely and most favorable result. I have been a customer of this firm for many years and until recently have been very satisfied with the service. I returned to the office recently to sign completed revisions to my will. I was very disappointed in the lack of professionalism by Mr. Stack and his staff. Two unidentified woman entered the room while I was waiting for Mr. Stack. Mr. Stack carried on a conversation with one of the "unidentified" woman regarding her vacation and his purchase of new Brooks Brothers shirts while I initialed the documents. I was told to "go ahead and initial" the documents prior to completing my questions. It was not clear to me what "their" agenda was but it certainly was not to focus on my issues and concerns regarding the changes to my will. For this experience I was handed a bill for $125 and told I could pay it at that point.
