In 2014 I was unlawfully arrested and assaulted by 4 Dayton police officers while celebrating a UD basketball game. I was beaten and humiliated in public in front of students. Anthony Vannoy represented my fiancé in a criminal trial in 2006 and was paid $27,000 and because of his ineffective assistance of counsel and working with the prosecution team my fiancé was sentenced to 51 years to life. Vannoy accepted a Nolle Prosequi entry dismissing charge 1 of the indictment ( the complete reason my fiance was served a search and arrest warrant) on the first day of his trial which affected their total defense strategy and Vannoy did not request a continuance or review of the Nolle Prosequi which by law RC 2941.33 must be held in an open court and show good cause for the dismissal of the charge which was never done. Vannoy advised my fiancé that he would just free-style the case which ultimately caused an innocent man to be sentenced to life in prison.
