Mr. Kirkland was recommend to us and we truly appreciated all his work and what he had done for our family. He really understood our case when no other attorney did. I have to mention that we are a military family and we live out of state but the communication was great and he would always respond quickly. He put in some work and it really paid off! His number will always be on speed dial. We can highly recommend Mr. Kirkland and his law office.
Absolutely horrible! He fails and fails and fails and then bills overtime for it. His mistakes cost me JAIL TIME- TWICE! My ex was charged with Child Endangerment and he still dragged it out for another four months. The total expense for the case came to almost three times what he OFFERED to do it for and took over a year with my ex failing every drug screen and only showing up for about 1/3 of the scheduled court dates and he did NOTHING! He was more detrimental than helpful to my kids and me.
He was highly recommended but failed me miserably on a very simple thing. He never mentioned that Ohio law supersedes my life insurance beneficiary after divorce. That if we wanted to keep each other as beneficiary on our life insurance policies after the divorce we needed to redo them when the divorce was final. Not having this information has left me without the funds we had set up for such an emergency as my Ex died 6 months after our divorce leaving behind our five year old son. The money is being held for him till he turns 18. I am jobless, taking care of my Dad with Alzheimer's and broke.
I agree completely with the previous client that stated he charges too much, wastes time and is disjointed in his responses and remembering facts. As a Naval Officer I provided outstanding information to him, literally preparing his entire case. My ex wife had custody of my special needs son and an older minor brother had raped him and I still could not get the special needs child out of the home. CPS had been contacted and perpetrator had confessed. The victim remains in her unsafe home.
