Justin and his team handled a real estate family loan matter for us. Multiple family members were involved and everything went smoothly. In my view, Justin found the right mix of keeping it simple, and still including the provisions needed for transparency within in our family (very important, always) and contingencies that could come up. Our work with the firm proceeded logically -- from the initial consultation, to setting up our retainer with the office, to organizing, reviewing, finalizing and signing the needed note and deed of trust. Mr. Lowenthal quickly determined the problem areas in the contract I brought for his consideration. He was able to articulate what the problems were in layman's terms, and recommend several different solutions depending on what I wanted from the contract. He was personable, knowledgeable, and conveyed a sense of competence that greatly increased my comfort level. He also didn't use a lot of legalese, and related things in plain language with analogies that made it easy to understand what my options were. I can recommend Justin Lowenthal for contract work and get the sense that he is equally knowledgeable in other areas of the law as well.
