I have recently been separated around july 2020 and hired Peter in sept as working with my ex was not easy. I had no idea the lawyer i hired would be harder to work with, unprofessional and the firm as a whole very unprofessional - the whole experience over the 3 mths blows my mind. I gave a $5000 retainer which was very hard to come by as i explained to Peter, he made one letter to my ex to request sone stuff, took a few phone calls from me and poof that 5k was gone. I was in the middle of selling our house which happened ehile i had peter hired - he knew there was equity there that i was entitled too - he told me how he could get me emergency relief in a cpl weeks when we first started, i have proof i asked 4 times after if he was doing this abd he kept telling me it wasnt a good idea. My ex was my employer snd i knew i would lose my job soon i told peter this, he sends me another $3600 bill for nothing - i was no further ahead than wgen i met him maybe worse off. HORRIBLE.
I had Peter work on my family law case as a lady lawyer that was at his firm was no longer there so went to him. We had talked before snd knew each other a bit. He was nice to get a retainer - actually told me a dollar value to review my stuff and then tried to charge double after i fired him. He hah not even finished the first thing we had made a deal on but double the price - anyways that’s not it - worse than that he very much bribgs his personal life into all conversations- answered the phone huffing and puffing snd then says im moving my son into university can i call you back (dont answer the ph maybe???). Worse than that he does not look at your side and or try to make your side look good - he wants to lower his clients expectations i get that but he does it in a most annoying way that anyone would cringe - he is not on your side in my opinion. Hope this helps your decision in a lawyer choice -
Find somebody else to do your case, he is an absolute donkey butt. Did not do anything, thought he would just collect a check from me until I submit a colpmaint against him from the NSBS! Conplete incomoptencve
Working with this lawyer was as bad as trying to work through things with my ex. I’m a single mom and have no extra money. I borrowed from a family member as ex owed over $16,000. in arrears. I paid Peter $5,000 and only received $4,500. from my ex. He was my second lawyer. The first one was bad and didn’t even asked to be paid and although Peter knew what had previously happened, he wasn’t any better. He did not forward my information and did not even include my divorce which I had given my information. The last court conversation in his office he advised me to settle for the amount from the opposing side. I was devastated by everything and all Peter had to say was “well, I didn’t expect you to do backflips.” I felt no he had no time for my questions and I felt like I was bothering him. Definitely no compassion or feelings
