Stacy Coontz was with the Department of Public Advocacy for sixteen years. While there, she handled criminal defense cases through Central Kentucky, from juvenile cases to capital murder. Stacy served as trial counsel D.E. in a case of first impression at the Kentucky Court of Appeals-D.E. v. Commonwealth, 271 S.W.3rd 539, which held that a person must physically enter property to be convicted of criminal trespass.
Her practice now includes family law, criminal and juvenile defense, probate, personal injury, and representation of veterans with the Veterans Administration.
Stacy is currently the Junction City representative on the Boyle County Human Rights Commission, and co-chairs the Shop with a Cop Program for Children.
