Hired Attorney

Ms Staton was wonderful to work with even though my request was unusual to say the least. She explained all the aspects of property division and let me know what I could end up with. Although the cost was a bit on the high end, I don't believe I would have made it threw without her guidance.

she's a nice lady, but charged 2x and i never actually went through with the divorce and she wouldn't refund anything. So she earned $4500 and showed up for court 2x. This is what gives lawyers a bad reputation.

Untrustworthy, bias, manipulative and a straight out liar charged us extra because we stood up to her and even took us to court and lied about money we owed her. (which was none) Our case was set up on a retainer fee and clearly stated once the first was out there would be a new one established before farther representation including the fact we had a large disagreement and she was told we no longer wanted her once the initial fee was up she i would take my chances else where if you are reading this and thinking about hiring janet staton!!!

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
