I hired lawyer Stephen Karns on August 2, 2021 for an illegal search of in my barracks room conducted on Thursday 15 July 2021, which led to a policy violation regarding a weapon found in my room. There was foul play identified when a noncommissioned officer claimed to have found marijuana in my backpack. I did not posses marijuana in my backpack. I did not posses any marijuana. I have documentation proving discrepancies in the date and times the illegal searches was conducted. I also have documentation of a report of the incident that did not include any drugs being found in my backpack. I presented all of this evidence to lawyer Stephen Karns and he ensured me he would be able to get me my weapon back, but did not deliver. Stephen Karns sent an email to my unit on August 9, 2021 announcing his representation on my behalf. Stephen Karns was not efficient in producing results even with the evidence of foul play presented to him concerning the discrepancies in the reports of the event.
