About Sheila E. Fix

A seasoned trial lawyer, Sheila Fix brings unmatched courtroom experience and strategic precision to her defense of clients in complex, high-exposure litigation. Over the course of her career, Sheila has tried more than 75 cases - including 20 jury trials - earning a reputation for results, leadership, and unflappable advocacy. Sheila defends clients across a broad spectrum of practice areas, including catastrophic injury, toxic tort, habitability, construction, professional liability, and transportation. Her approach combines meticulous preparation with practical, business-minded solutions that protect her clients’ interests both inside and outside the courtroom.

In her habitability and toxic tort practice, Sheila represents property owners, landlords, and operators of hotels and mobile home parks in personal injury and property damage claims involving asbestos, mold, lead, pesticides, and other alleged environmental exposures. She is known for her ability to dismantle complex causation theories through expert-driven analysis and strategic case framing.

Her construction practice spans commercial and residential projects, public works, and geotechnical claims such as landslides and subsidence. Sheila also maintains an active employment defending employers in claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour disputes as well as a professional liability practice defending realtors, home inspectors, architects, and other professionals against negligence and fraud claims.

Before entering private practice, Sheila served on active duty in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Thereafter, she continued to serve in the Navy Reserve JAG Corps from which she retired as a Captain (O-6). Her distinguished military career included key leadership positions such as Reserve Deputy Inspector General, Deputy Force Judge Advocate, and Staff Judge Advocate for multiple commands. Sheila’s service earned numerous honors, including the Legion of Merit and the Judge Advocate’s Association Outstanding Career Armed Services Attorney Award.

Drawing on her military discipline and courtroom command, Sheila delivers smart, strategic, and decisive representation for every client she serves.
