I hired Robert to be a "limited scope" attorney, as the litigation case involved my Mother's estate and I wasn't the trustee who was being sued but rather a beneficiary of the estate. Robert acknowledged that he would be working under the Trustee's attorney and would be a support only. I received an email from Robert telling me to "SIT DOWN WITH A STIFF DRINK" before opening his invoice. The invoice was for over $17,000!! He literally had nothing to add to the case. I tried to communicate with Robert about the enormity of his bill but he was belligerent and sarcastic. After 4 days of me trying to wrap my head around this exorbitant invoice, Robert emailed me a notice that he was withdrawing from my case. I received another bill for $12,000 after he withdrew and then he told me he would sue me for the money. He called my new attorney to discuss my unpaid invoice. UNETHICAL to the Max is all I can say!
