Pyke & Associates, P.C. is a law firm established in 2000 with an office in Dallas, TX. At this office location, there are 5 lawyers practicing wills, probate, probate litigation and 15 other areas of law.
I have worked with David Pyke a couple times in the past for my parents’ estate, and he was easy to work with, organized, and helpful. I recently worked with Ryan Trobee on my own estate planning, and it was a wonderful experience. Very organized, helpful, and knowledgeable.
We hired Ryan to assist us in meditating an estate dispute. While in the beginning he was responsive and forthcoming, when it became not a cut and dry issue, he bailed and basically fired us without notification. Not only could we not get in touch with our own attorney, but have heard from the other side’s attorney that they too had issues getting in touch with him or receiving communication back. If you want a lawyer that is willing to do the grunt work and provide true legal counseling, do not use him. Very disappointed.
Mr. Pyke ignored my initial instructions about my case, insisting on negotiating after I told him that would not work at all. He sold himself as being a very aggressive litigator but he never showed any sign of having that trait. He started off telling me he didn’t see how we could lose then suddenly a few months later reversed his opinion while refusing to give any reasoning. He said he should not have taken my case as he had no time to deal with it. He never attended any court hearings and he never took any action to protect my interests. I could have saved a few thousand dollars by dismissing early if he had answered some of my questions instead of ignoring them. I have no idea what he charged me for as he stopped sending monthly statements early on and refuses to give me that information. He told me that he would refund me for some paperwork he filed incorrectly but in the end he did not. He outright refused to answer email inquiries and didn’t return multiple phone calls.
